UV-C is UV light of shorter wavelength as compared to the very damaging UV-A and UV-B light. It inactivates microbes by its ability to dimerize their DNA and RNA. Very high levels of disinfection and very effective disinfection can be achieved when used in well-designed equipment. UV-C disinfection is a technique that uses no chemicals, nor leaves any residue, acts in seconds and can be used in small and mass-scale. Our range of products employ the power of UV-C in high performance standard and customized products for discerning customers.
For Air Disinfection
Designed to interrupt the transmission of airborne infectious diseases in high traffic areas such as offices, waiting areas, healthcare emergency rooms, surgical suites, cafeterias, classrooms, etc. Convection air currents as well as mechanically induced air currents continuously carry and lift microdroplets and aerosol-like particles around the room. When these particles move towards the upper part of the room, they are exposed to the UV-C radiation from the fixtures. Inactivated microbes are unable to replicate even if they come in contact with human subjects, hence the chain of infection is interrupted.
For Surface Disinfection
When the rooms are not occupied, the Fixtures can be used for disinfection of often-contacted surfaces such as table-tops, chairs, desks, etc. Special attachments in the fixtures can direct the UV-C light down towards surfaces to be disinfected.
Manual or automatic mechanisms are available with people-protection interlocks with Motion-detectors and power-cutoff systems.
Disinfecting objects touched by many individuals can be an effective means to interrupt the spread of infectious diseases.
The UVGI enclosures from PAI allow quick and reliable disinfection of objects inside a restricted space. High-performance materials are used to attain high intensity, uniform and all-round disinfection of objects such as PPE Kits, packages, containers, instruments, personal items, etc.
The enclosures provide the necessary safety barrier to living organisms and susceptible objects in the vicinity of the enclosure. Added safety-features avoid unnecessary exposure to operators.
